Kontos Themistoklis
BA (1998) in Environmental Studies, Department of Environmental
Studies, University of the Aegean. As a member of the WML
research group since 1997 and he has been involved in research
projects concerning spatial planning and remediation of old
Landfill Sites. He is a registered PhD candidate since September
1998 and his doctoral thesis topic is "Creation of a
Spatial Decision Support System for Landfill Siting ".
He collaborates with the WML on waste management and Landfill
Siting issues of with the use of Geographic Information Systems.
Further research interests include Multi-criteria Analysis
Methods using GIS infrastructure for environmental applications.
