RESEARCH LABORATORIES


From its founding, the Department of Environment has participated actively in researching environmental problems, with financing from both Greek and European Union sources.

 

The Department’s research laboratories handle a wide range of research activities concerning atmospheric pollution, environmental management, biodiversity management, waste management, environmental quality control, renewable energy sources and energy systems, remote sensing / geographical information systems (GIS) and island and regional development. At present, the Department has eleven research laboratories :
