STUDENT UNION

The “Michalis Myrogiannis” Student Union of the Department of Environment is the primary student association. The Union’s name originates from a Mytilenean student who was killed on November 17, 1973 during the Athens Polytechnic uprising. The highest authority of the Student Union is its General Assembly, while management rests with the Union’s Council which is elected annually through student elections. The General Assembly nominates a number of its members to act as legal representatives in the University’s administrative bodies. All Union decisions are made according to statute regulations.
